Why Are Liberals Turning D.C. Into a Permanent Military Fortress Until 2029—What Are They Hiding

When will Washington, D.C. stop acting like a war zone run by paranoid politicians? Now the Pentagon wants National Guard troops patrolling our nation’s capital all the way through 2029. That just happens to be the end of President Trump’s second term. It’s almost like the deep state just can’t let go of its security theater and love affair with flashing guns and barricades everywhere politicians walk.

Let’s call it what it is: Democrats and their left-wing bureaucrats are terrified of We the People. They built a fortress around the Capitol after January 6 and haven’t looked back. The guardrails, checkpoints, and soldiers didn’t make D.C. safer. They just made the ruling class feel safer from everyday Americans. Now, even with Trump in the White House, the same bureaucrats want five more years of military presence on their streets. Where’s that outrage from the so-called “defenders of democracy”?

Instead of cleaning up their crime-ridden, drug-infested city, these liberals demand the Army’s help so they can keep partying at their donors’ galas and virtue signal about equality. The city’s a mess, but it’s easier to hide behind the National Guard than take any real action. If only they put half as much effort into fixing schools and keeping our streets clean as they do building security fences, maybe the place wouldn’t be an embarrassment.

Globalists love a locked-down Washington, too. A militarized capital is a signal to the world that America’s politicians are “important” and above it all—even as they let regular citizens suffer under open borders, crushing inflation, and woke policies. The elites get safe streets and private security. The rest of us? We get lectures about democracy and more mandates.

Why does the self-proclaimed most powerful government on earth need soldiers posted in its own capital for half a decade? Maybe deep down, they know the American people are fed up—and for good reason. If politicians really want safety, maybe they should finally listen to what the people are demanding instead of treating Citizens like threats in their own country.
