Newsflash: fans paid for a concert, not a boring political lecture. When did it become trendy for artists to treat the audience like political pawns or social justice students? It’s a slap in the face to the people who support them.
Liberal elites in the entertainment world love to pretend they speak for America. In reality, they’re in a bubble, cut off from everyday folks. Most Americans don’t spend thousands to hear some millionaire cry about how oppressed they are or how awful things are in a country that gave them everything. Did anyone really go to a rock concert hoping for a TED Talk about socialism or the latest globalist nonsense? Of course not.
But Jagger nails it. He knows that putting on a great show rises above petty political grandstanding. That’s real respect for the audience. It’s almost funny—liberals rant nonstop about inclusion, but they never seem to realize just how many people they’re excluding with their angry tirades. Fans want music, not lectures. They’re sick of being talked down to by celebrities who haven’t had a normal job in decades.
Let the woke crowd keep ruining their own careers by insulting half the country every time they touch a mic. The rest of us will tip our hats to pros like Mick Jagger, who realize the truth: nobody’s more out of touch than a smug celebrity preaching to the choir. Here’s a wild idea—maybe more entertainers should take a page out of Jagger’s book and remember who actually pays their bills.
