It looks like the Democrats in Wisconsin just proved again that they can’t run their own campaigns, much less a state. Sara Rodriguez, the current lieutenant governor who wants to take over for Tony Evers, had to fire her campaign manager in spectacular fashion. And why? Because the person in charge of her campaign cash apparently couldn’t even fill out basic financial forms without getting things wrong—or worse.
Democrats always claim they’re about “transparency,” but time and time again, they act in the shadows. When the campaign is forced to admit that their finance reports are filled with “inaccuracies” and “incomplete” filings, that’s not just a slip-up. That’s incompetence or it’s fraud—there’s no in-between. Yet, as always, the move only came when they knew the paperwork would be made public and their mess would be exposed. They chose to scramble and place blame before anyone else could point fingers. Classic liberal strategy: screw up, hide it, and when you’re caught, blame someone else and pretend it never happened.
You have to wonder—if this is how Democrats handle their own money, what do they do with taxpayer dollars? It’s no secret that Rodriguez, like so many Democrats, wants to cook up budgets behind closed doors. She’s already said it—she’d keep Wisconsinites in the dark about how their dollars are being spent. If this is what “leadership” looks like for the left, then get ready for more secrets, more cozy backroom deals, and higher taxes while they dodge questions and fire scapegoats.
Voters deserve better than the endless cycle of Democrat mismanagement. Rodriguez’s team only acted when the public was about to see the truth. Now, with campaign finance reports due any day, they’re hoping the media will give them a pass and that the truth will be buried. Funny how Democrats never face real accountability—not from their party, not from the press, and certainly not from the legal system.
Maybe next time the left wants to lecture Americans on ethics and “saving democracy,” they can start by explaining why their own campaigns are so corrupt and sloppy. If they can’t even keep their own house in order, why should we trust them with ours?
