California just can’t help itself. Busy patting themselves on the back for “going green,” the state’s leaders have come up with another so-called environmental law that guts the wallets of regular Americans. Hidden away behind the scenes, California added a massive green “fee” at their ports — and every single person in America ends up paying for it.
Here’s what California doesn’t want you to know: most of the goods filling American shelves come through their ports. That means every time you shop for groceries, buy school supplies, or pick up new shoes, you’re getting whacked by Sacramento’s eco-extremism. Liberals call it saving the planet, but let’s call it what it is — a hidden tax on the working class.
While politicians in fancy offices pat themselves on the back, families from Ohio to North Carolina have to watch their budgets shrink. The bureaucrats in California act like they’re standing up to “Big Oil” or somehow saving the glaciers, but all they’ve really done is make it harder for parents to fill lunch boxes. Who actually gets hurt? Not the wealthy globalists or coastal elites — it’s the middle class and the poor, every single time.
Even worse, these green fees aren’t just a local problem. They bleed out across every state, raising prices on groceries, gas, kids’ toys, even the basics like toothpaste. Bureaucrats love to brag about California leading the way. Well, congratulations. Now they’re leading us all into higher costs, lower paychecks, and less freedom.
How much longer will we let out-of-touch radicals in Sacramento dictate the price of milk in Montana or chicken in Chicago? Americans deserve better than backroom green schemes that punish hard work and reward virtue-signaling. Maybe it’s time for our leaders to put citizens ahead of globalist agendas — before there’s nothing left in our wallets except the promise of more California “progress.”
