During a segment where they tried to question the health of Senator Mitch McConnell, so-called “journalists” at CNN ended up airing a comment from a fake congressman. That’s right, they mistook a parody account for a real Republican lawmaker and showed it to the entire country on live TV. Someone at CNN clearly isn’t doing their homework, but are we surprised?
The slip happened on “CNN This Morning,” which is supposed to be the network’s flagship for “serious news.” Instead, they turned a serious topic into an embarrassing circus. They grabbed a post from a parody account pretending to be “Rep. Jack Kimble” and showcased it alongside actual comments from real politicians. This imaginary “congressman” doesn’t exist—but don’t expect the CNN crew to notice the difference. As usual, when it comes to covering Republicans, facts and reality take a back seat to their anti-conservative agenda.
This is exactly what happens when a news network is more interested in pushing its narrative than reporting the truth. If CNN had any real journalists left, someone would have caught this obvious mistake before it hit the air. But when the only goal is to embarrass Republicans, due diligence gets tossed out the window. It’s the same old left-wing playbook: smear, shame, and attack, no matter how ridiculous it makes them look.
Let’s be clear—this isn’t just a minor blunder. It’s a spotlight on liberal incompetence at the highest level. If CNN can’t even figure out who’s a real congressman and who’s a random internet prankster, why should any American trust them to report on anything else? Yet, these are the same elites lecturing the rest of us about “disinformation” and policing what we read and watch. The hypocrisy is staggering, but that’s par for the course from the mainstream media.
How many more times do the American people have to watch the liberal media trip over their own lies and lazy reporting? If they can’t get a basic fact right about a Republican, what else are they getting wrong? The nation deserves better than a clown show. Maybe CNN should spend less time pushing globalist narratives and more time double-checking what’s actually real. Or is expecting honesty from the liberal media just wishful thinking at this point?
