Back in the days of World War II, smoking was so normal, even soldiers got government-issued cigarette rations. These weren’t snowflakes—they were fighting real enemies, not made-up “microaggressions.” And now, after decades of liberals trying to stamp out tobacco with taxes, regulations, and endless nagging commercials, kids are marching right back to Marlboro. Why? Because when you spend years trying to control people, they push back. Gen Z is sick of being told what to do.
I remember when stores were filled with cigarette smoke. Bosses used to chain-smoke right at the counter. Ordinary Americans built this country, took their smoke breaks, and didn’t apologize to anyone. Liberals love pretending they know best, but Gen Z just showed them up. Turns out, teenagers don’t want to be coddled like kindergarteners. They want choices. They want freedom—even if it means lighting up in defiance of the “woke” crowd’s health commandments.
So the next time some blue-haired activist tries to lecture about “your body, their choice,” ask them why they don’t actually believe that when it comes to cigarettes, sodas, or anything else the Left wants to ban. Maybe Gen Z is tired of the hypocrisy. Maybe this smoking comeback is America’s younger generation giving a big middle finger to all the scolding, virtue-signaling know-it-alls.
