Mayor Mamdani coddles lazy New Yorkers with Netflix bailout while crime skyrockets

Mayor Mamdani is at it again, acting like some kind of superhero for the so-called “oppressed” New Yorkers who can’t be bothered to manage their own online subscriptions. Apparently, we’ve reached a point where adults need the government to swoop in and save them from their own laziness. Remember when personal responsibility was the American way? Not anymore—at least not under the left’s twisted vision.

Let’s get real. The same crowd begging for bailouts on Netflix and Starz are the ones spending $8 a pop on their morning latte without blinking. These folks can spend all day scrolling Instagram and Venmo-ing cash for brunch, but somehow, finding the “cancel” button on a website is too much for them? This is what happens when you raise an entire generation to believe the world owes them something just for existing. And Mamdani is more than happy to play along, throwing taxpayer money at childish problems.

Liberals love to act like they’re battling giant corporations and fighting for the “little guy.” But what are they really doing? Pampering entitled voters who can’t handle the most basic adult tasks. Instead of fixing actual problems—like our crumbling streets and the rising crime that makes neighborhoods unsafe—they’d rather write laws for people who can’t say no to another streaming trial. It’s pathetic, and it’s anti-American at its core.

The hypocrisy is wild. The left screams about corporate greed, but they’re lining the pockets of Big Tech companies—letting people sign up for everything under the sun with the tap of a finger, then crying foul when it’s time to take any ownership. And whenever liberals want to distract the public from their failures on crime, schools, and jobs, they trot out these feel-good measures for their TikTok constituency, pretending they’re making a difference. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

When did New York become a city of coddled complainers? Mamdani is not fixing anything. He’s just giving woke, bored voters another excuse to avoid growing up. Maybe, instead of wasting everyone’s time on streaming subscriptions, he could focus on making the city safe, prosperous, and free. Or is that too much personal responsibility for the modern liberal?
