Ro Khanna just can’t help but put on a show. Instead of doing the job he was elected for, he ran halfway across the world for what looked more like a desperate campaign ad than actual diplomacy. This time, he set his sights on Israel’s West Bank. Khanna, flanked by his cameras and his New York Times fans, strolled right onto a road that’s not even open to civilians. Because why not? The rules clearly don’t apply when you’re a Democrat looking to stir the pot.
But here’s the punchline: Khanna wanted everyone to believe he’d been “detained” in some wild, dangerous encounter with Israeli settlers. He skipped meetings with survivors of the October 7 attacks, blew off briefings about Israel’s border—then magically found himself in front of the camera, playing the role of brave hostage. Too bad the “dramatic” footage he dropped was about as exciting as watching grass grow. No shouting, no chaos—just Khanna on his chosen stage, hoping voters back home eat it up.
Even Democrats aren’t buying it. When colleagues from his own party call him out, you know it’s pure theater. And Israeli officials confirmed what we all suspect: Khanna never bothered to run any of this by them. He ignored every offer to learn about the real threats Israel faces. Instead, he cozied up to activist groups who make a living bashing Israel and pandering to anti-American interests. Why? Because playing up anti-Israel drama is brownie points for the Left—and Khanna’s already gunning for a 2028 presidential run.
Notice how convenient the timing is? Film the “incident” on a Wednesday, release it on a Saturday, and keep the headlines rolling just when he needs them. It’s all smoke and mirrors, designed to distract from his own political missteps and prop up his longshot ambitions. When pressed for details, Khanna couldn’t keep his story straight. The facts fell apart, just like his fake narrative.
This isn’t genuine foreign policy. It’s a circus—one big liberal stunt, led by a politician chasing attention instead of the truth. When a congressman needs to manufacture a crisis overseas just to make headlines at home, you have to ask: is there anything the Left won’t do for a shot at power?
