America is on the edge of its seat yet again, and this time, it’s thanks to Donald Trump. The President has teased what’s being billed as “really big news” in a primetime address later this week. The rumors swirling around D.C. are enough to make the liberal media squirm, especially since the focus is said to be America’s broken elections—and what he plans to do about them.
This address couldn’t come at a more critical time. Our so-called leaders in Congress keep dragging their feet on the SAVE America Act, which should be the most obvious piece of legislation ever written: it would finally require people to prove they’re citizens to vote in federal elections. You’d think that was common sense—but, of course, common sense is the enemy of Democrats and their globalist friends. They’d rather have loopholes and chaos at the ballot box than any policy that protects American votes.
Trump has been unmovable on the issue. He refused to put his name on a major housing bill as a direct protest against the Senate stonewalling this election reform. The D.C. swamp passed that housing bill anyway, pretending like it’s business as usual. But for everyday Americans, nothing is “usual” when our elections are up for grabs, and when lawmakers play games with something as precious as our right to vote.
Under the SAVE America Act, states would have no choice but to require solid proof of citizenship before letting anyone register to vote. That may sound too strict for the radical left, but for the rest of us, it’s not just reasonable—it’s the only way to protect our Republic. Without free and fair elections, we don’t have a country. Period. That’s exactly why the president is making this his top priority, while Democrats would rather push for unsecured mail-in ballots and leave loopholes wide open for abuse.
While the left whines about “voter suppression,” Trump is actually fighting for the future of the nation. The big announcement on Thursday should be a wake-up call: the days of rigged rules and foreign interference in American elections must end. The only people scared of secure elections are those who benefit from fraud and confusion. Isn’t that what Democrats rely on?
