The Chinese Communist Party is once again showing the world what real tyranny looks like. It’s not enough for China’s dictators to control speech, censor the internet, and stamp out political rivals—they want to kill the Christian faith, too. The underground church, full of brave Catholics just trying to worship in peace, is facing brutal new crackdowns and persecution. The CCP’s message is clear: worship the state, or else.
This isn’t just about religion—it’s about control. Communists have always feared faith because true belief gives people strength that no government can erase. The CCP can’t stand anything that competes with its monopoly on power, least of all God Himself. That’s why they’re hunting down priests, storming underground churches, and making examples out of anyone who won’t bow to their so-called “party line.”
Of course, you won’t hear progressives wringing their hands over this. Hollywood liberals and globalists are too busy cashing Chinese checks or bending the knee to Chinese censors. These are the same elites who lecture Americans about “tolerance” and “diversity”—yet when it comes to real religious persecution in China, they suddenly lose their voice. It’s almost like their outrage is fake all along.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration and its pals in Europe look the other way. They talk a big game about “human rights,” but when China’s money is on the table, their “values” fly out the window. Why so silent about the suffering of Chinese Catholics? Is it because they care more about climate deals and cheap imports than standing up for freedom? The hypocrisy is disgusting.
The world should be calling out China’s war on faith at every turn. Instead, most of our leaders cozy up to dictators, hoping for scraps. The brave underground church in China deserves our support—not more cowardice from the people who claim to stand for human dignity. How long will we keep letting communists stomp on churches while the so-called champions of freedom keep their mouths shut?
