Democrats celebrate attacks on ICE using chaos for political gain

Democrats never fail to show just how out of touch they are with the real security needs of Americans. This week, Maine Representative Chellie Pingree revealed her party’s true colors. After a dangerous incident targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents right in her own state, what’s Pingree’s response? She’s licking her chops, claiming each new attack gives Democrats “more leverage” to bully Republicans into shutting down ICE altogether. Forget protecting law enforcement. Forget stopping illegal immigration. The left only sees every crisis as a chance to dismantle what keeps Americans safe.

This is liberal logic at its worst. Lawbreakers attack ICE, and instead of backing the men and women who risk their lives to defend our borders, Democrats use it as political ammo. They’re not interested in solutions. They want chaos. They want open borders. They want lawlessness, as long as it fits their globalist, anti-American agenda.

Let’s be clear: ICE exists to enforce our laws and keep criminals out. But apparently, Democrats, including Pingree, hate that idea. It doesn’t fit their fantasy of a borderless America where law-abiding citizens are left defenseless. You’d think a sitting member of Congress would focus on ending violence and restoring order. Instead, the left seems thrilled by these incidents if it means more power and a shot at gutting the agencies that protect us.

Mainers and all Americans should be furious. The left’s priorities are upside-down. When ICE agents face violence, Democrats don’t just turn a blind eye—they cash in. Instead of standing in solidarity with law enforcement, they treat each attack as a stepping stone to political victory. Their so-called “leverage” is nothing but pure opportunism, feeding off the very unrest their awful policies encourage.

How much longer will Americans tolerate this backwards thinking? When did protecting our borders become controversial? Maybe it’s time we ask the real question: What will be left of America if the left has its way and puts politics above public safety—again?
