Gavin Newsom keeps trying to play Mr. California Cool, but everyone can see he’s flailing on the national stage. This man talks a big game about being ready to lead, but his actions scream the exact opposite. It’s obvious Newsom doesn’t want to be president—at least, not if it means facing the heat or getting his hands dirty. He’d rather showboat on late-night TV and pose for Vogue than deal with the mess his own policies have caused.
Look at what’s happening under his watch. California is turning into the poster child for liberal disasters: sky-high taxes, rampant homelessness, crime everywhere, and businesses fleeing in droves. Yet Newsom keeps acting like these are someone else’s problems. If this is the “progressive model” so many Democrats love, Americans should run in the opposite direction.
What’s even more laughable is how the Democrats and their media mouthpieces pretend Newsom is the man to save the country if Biden bails out. If this is their rescue plan, it’s hard not to suspect they’ve given up all hope. Trusting Newsom with the nation after he wrecked the Golden State? That’s like giving the keys to your house to the guy who just burned down your garage.
Of course, the left can’t help but swoon over Newsom’s fake charm and glossy hair, ignoring the substance—or lack thereof. The globalist elite and Hollywood liberals love his empty promises and Instagram smiles. But ordinary Americans see through the act. They know Newsom cares more about woke talking points and his own image than about actually fixing anything.
Newsom’s half-hearted, spotlight-chasing approach shows what liberals really offer: all style, no substance. He’ll talk about fighting for the working class, then turn around and champion disastrous policies that drive jobs away. He’ll claim to care about public safety, while his state becomes less safe by the day. If this is “leadership,” then America deserves so much better.
How much longer will Democrats pretend Gavin Newsom is their secret weapon, when even he doesn’t want the job? Maybe he’s just hoping the cameras keep rolling and no one asks him to actually lead.
