The left never fails to panic when someone from overseas dares to publicly appreciate America, especially when it comes to our cherished freedoms. This time, their target is none other than Freddy—a German tourist who had the nerve to praise the United States during his wild World Cup road trip. Instead of joining the sour crowd who frown at everything they can’t control, Freddy tossed political correctness into the backseat and drove straight into the real American experience.
Freddy didn’t just hit the Great Smoky Mountains for the scenery. He got a taste of what makes this country the envy of the world: freedom, independence, and, yes, our right to bear arms. Liberals want to pretend America’s gun culture makes us dangerous or backward. But it’s exactly this tradition—the basic right to protect ourselves and enjoy our sports—that millions of Americans hold dear, no matter how much globalist elites wrinkle their noses.
While coastal snobs clutched their pearls over Freddy’s American adventure, he was discovering just how wrong they are about this nation. He didn’t see the doom and gloom the media tries to paint every day. He witnessed the endless beauty of the Smokies and the unbreakable spirit of ordinary, hard-working Americans who love life, liberty, and yes, a little bit of safe, honest firearm fun. You don’t see crowds fleeing Germany or France for “safety.” But you do see people from all over the globe streaming into America, yearning for exactly these freedoms.
It drives liberals crazy when somebody like Freddy refuses to parrot their anti-American talking points. They can’t handle foreigners appreciating the very things they want to destroy—our values, our rights, our culture. It’s always the same crowd that demands open borders and global “solidarity,” yet howls the moment anyone points out the greatness of the American way.
So let the left whine and tantrum. Freddy gets it, and any honest person should. It shouldn’t take a German tourist with a sense of adventure to remind us what the radical left is desperate to erase: America is special—and that’s worth celebrating. If the woke mob can’t handle that, maybe they should take their own road trip and try meeting the real America for a change. Or is loving this country just too scary for them?
