No more hiding behind clever slogans or pretending to be “mainstream.” The Democratic Socialists of America, who have never met a time-honored American institution they didn’t want to tear down, now openly admit they want to scrap the very body designed to give smaller states a voice against the endless rule of big-city elites.
Their leaders say the Senate is obsolete and represents only “the wealthy.” But don’t be fooled: This is nothing more than an attempt to strip power and representation from the heartland, where Americans still believe in faith, family, and freedom. Abolishing the Senate would let the loudest, bluest, most radical cities and coastal states run roughshod over everyone else. That’s the left’s vision of “democracy”—one where California and New York dictate the rules, and everyone living in places like Iowa or Alabama just has to sit down, shut up, and take it.
The truth is, the Senate exists precisely because the Founders understood the danger of mob rule. By giving every state an equal voice, no matter how big or small, they built a shield to protect ordinary Americans from being steamrolled by the latest left-wing fad. But the DSA wants a blank slate so they can start rewriting the rules—from abolishing capitalism to doing away with money itself. Sound familiar? It’s the Marxist dream that’s failed everywhere it’s been tried.
Let’s be clear: What the Democratic Socialists are proposing isn’t “progress.” It’s sabotage. They’re not interested in working within the system. They want to bulldoze the very foundations of American freedom and rebuild everything in their own radical image. They know the only way they can get their agenda through is to erase checks and balances—because ordinary Americans would never vote for socialism if they had a fair say.
Anyone who cares about the future of this country should see these attacks for what they are: a blatant power grab by the far-left, cheered on by clueless liberal elites who want to silence dissent and install permanent one-party rule. Will Americans stand by while their voices are canceled—or will they stand up and defend the country their grandparents fought to preserve? The left’s answer to losing fair debates isn’t to argue better—it’s to burn down the house.
