This time, it was Dr. Sam Hawgood from the University of California, San Francisco—someone trusted to train the next generation of doctors—who completely fumbled when asked who can get pregnant. He danced around the obvious, afraid to offend the woke mobs obsessed with their diversity obsession.
Instead of saying what every honest fifth grader knows, the chancellor played word games, pushing the trendy and utterly confusing term “pregnant people.” Why? Simple. These days, powerful institutions, especially in leftist states like California, would rather please activists than teach the truth. If a man puts on a dress and suddenly claims to be a woman, we’re all supposed to nod along and pretend biology has nothing to do with it. And if one of these men—who is actually a biological woman—gets pregnant, we’re expected to erase the word “woman” from the English language just to avoid “offending” someone’s feelings.
Congress watched in disbelief as Dr. Hawgood twisted himself into knots to avoid actually saying that only women—real, biological women—can give birth. That’s the sort of science fiction nonsense that happens when DEI and gender ideology run healthcare, not evidence. How can Americans put their trust in doctors and hospitals when even medical school leaders refuse to say the sky is blue and water is wet?
The repercussions are not just laughable, they’re dangerous. If America faces another health crisis—as it inevitably will—these same doctors, fresh out of “woke” universities, might hesitate before relying on facts, just in case someone’s feelings get hurt. Is it any wonder that trust in our institutions is plummeting when the so-called experts refuse to stand up for reality?
The great American experiment isn’t going down because of ignorance; it’s headed off the cliff because so-called intellectuals would rather play pretend with biology than speak the truth. When the people trusted with our health care act more like activists and less like adults, it’s not just embarrassing—it’s a disaster in the making. If leaders can’t say who can get pregnant, where is all this leftist lunacy headed next?
