Forget soaring grocery prices, illegal border crossings, or the growing list of freedoms lost in the last several years. No, today’s Canadian politicians have decided to invest their energy into policing who can light up a cigarette and where.
The government up north is so obsessed with virtue signaling, they’re now treating adult Canadians like children. For the Left, “public health” has become the perfect shield to justify more rules and more control. Rather than dealing with crime waves or the collapse of the middle class, liberal elites are happy to send the smoke police down the street to ticket citizens for puffing outside. Doesn’t matter if you’re in a park or your own backyard—Canada wants to know, “Mind if I smoke?” No? Here comes the fine.
All the while, the globalists cheer from the sidelines. These self-proclaimed saviors of the environment can’t stop patting themselves on the back, focusing on micro-managing the average Joe. It’s as if smoking itself is a bigger threat to society than failing schools or out-of-control government spending. But maybe that’s exactly the plan: distract Canadians from the real issues by waging a phony war on cigarettes.
