A federal judge just ripped apart the Biden team’s so-called broadband access plan, exposing it for what it really was: a blatant, race-based handout.
Judge John Bates, no left-wing radical by any means, took a look at Biden’s scheme to hand out government internet dollars based on race and said, “No, that’s not how America works.” This judge—appointed by George W. Bush, for those keeping score—pointed to the big Supreme Court decision from last year. That’s the one that finally put an end to race-based college admissions. Now, it’s being used to smack down more of the left’s identity politics.
It’s no surprise the government tried to sneak this through. The radical left is obsessed with dividing Americans by color. They claim they want fairness. But what they really want is to pit neighbor against neighbor, so politicians can play hero to special interest groups and global elites. Imagine telling struggling rural Americans that they can’t get the internet their kids need for school because they have the “wrong” skin color. That’s not progress. That’s discrimination, plain and simple.
The Biden administration’s arrogance is staggering. While they love to talk about unity, they’re perfectly happy breaking the law to reward their chosen groups.
