LA mayor hands out stuffed toys to fire victims while real help ignored

When Americans lose everything to a fire, they deserve real help. But instead, Los Angeles’s Democrat mayor Karen Bass thought handing out stuffed Pikachu dolls would fix the pain. That’s right—the same career politician who can’t seem to address the city’s runaway crime and homelessness woes thinks some cheap, made-in-China toys are the answer for families who just lost their homes.

This is the left’s idea of leadership: smile for the cameras, toss out a plush toy, and pretend the work is done. While Bass struts confidently around disaster zones, real people are living out of hotels, or worse, their cars. The city has millions for consultants, useless programs, and overseas pet projects—but when ordinary, hard-working citizens’ lives are ripped apart, they get childish trinkets instead of real solutions.

What message is Karen Bass sending to the world? That Americans who suffer under Democrat rule should just sit back and accept their fate with a cheap gift and a pat on the head? This is soft bigotry at its worst—treating people like children, not citizens with dignity who deserve real help, safety, and support.

This isn’t an accident. Liberals love these hollow gestures. They cling to symbolism because it’s far easier than showing real leadership or admitting their policies don’t work. Bass has mastered the photo-op politician routine—always just enough for a headline, never enough to get results. The globalist and progressives in power think waving a stuffed animal around will distract you from their endless incompetence and the actual suffering on their watch.

America was built on action, not on handing out toys and false hope. Residents of L.A. need leadership that protects families, defends property, and stands up for those who work hard. Is this really the best Democrats can offer to people who have lost everything—just cheap plushies and empty promises?
