Texas underwater and DC elites do nothing as families beg for help in deadly floods

The heartland of Texas is drowning right now, and it’s hard not to see the blame washing up at the feet of failed liberal leadership. While six million Texans brace for catastrophic flooding, politicians push their pet projects and ignore basic safety. Texans are getting hit with disaster, while elitists in Washington seem to care more about their climate change talking points than about actual human lives.

One person has already lost their life in the chaos, and brave rescuers are working non-stop to save many more. Families are stranded with the water rising all around them. But don’t expect any help from the political class that runs to the cameras at a whiff of “climate activism,” but can never seem to find a solution when real Americans are in danger.

Every time there’s a disaster in a red state, we get lectures from the green energy alarmists and the big-city media. They yell about carbon footprints, but they never talk about the failing infrastructure and poor disaster planning funded by progressive budgets. These self-proclaimed “experts” spend taxpayer dollars on feel-good globalist nonsense instead of flood barriers or emergency resources that actually keep people safe.

Let’s face it: city dwellers and far-away bureaucrats don’t get what it means to be Texan. They’re all talk, no action. While Texas is underwater, the Biden administration sends billions to foreign nations and signs wasteful deals for the World Economic Forum. Meanwhile, Southern families watch their homes and memories float away. Who really cares about America? It sure isn’t the coastal elites sipping lattes and blaming “global warming” for everything.

Once again, it’s ordinary people on the ground—first responders, neighbors, and volunteers—who step up while big government steps out. Instead of more useless speeches, maybe it’s time for politicians to get their boots muddy. When will the left stop playing politics and start protecting the American people? Or will they just let Texas drown, as long as they’ve got a crisis to exploit?
