West Hollywood floods expose failed liberal leadership and crumbling promises

Something rotten is seeping through West Hollywood, and it’s not just the overflowing water this time. Overnight, a massive water main broke and turned the streets into rivers, flooding not just roads but the liberal fantasy that California actually takes care of its own. While Hollywood elites sip their designer lattes and virtue signal about saving the planet, their streets are literally drowning thanks to years of failed progressive leadership.

It doesn’t take an expert to see why this happened. California has funneled billions into left-wing pet projects—high-speed train boondoggles, illegal immigrant benefits, and climate change stunts—while forgetting the pipes and roads that real Americans rely on every day. Instead of building strong, lasting infrastructure, Los Angeles is more interested in photo ops and woke policies. The result? A major city can’t even keep the water running where it’s supposed to.

Meanwhile, who picks up the mess? Everyday families and small businesses, already taxed to the breaking point by state politicians, get hammered yet again. Water gushes through the streets, ruining property, threatening livelihoods, and exposing the hollow promises of so-called progressives. The city pours millions into rainbow crosswalks and gender-neutral bathrooms, but can’t cough up money to keep basic utilities functioning. It’s almost like the ruling class cares more about looking “inclusive” than keeping people safe and dry.

West Hollywood likes to brag about leading the way for the rest of America. If this is leadership, no thanks. This “progressive paradise” can’t handle rain or plumbing, but somehow thinks it knows best how the rest of the country should live. Maybe caring for taxpayers and fixing broken infrastructure isn’t as trendy as grandstanding about the latest woke cause, but it would actually help people.

California’s ruling elites need to get their heads out of the clouds—and their hands out of our wallets. When will Americans realize: If the liberals in charge can’t even keep the water flowing, why are we trusting them to run anything at all?
