Once again, California proves it can’t even handle the basics. This time, the proud city of West Hollywood woke up to streets turned into rivers, thanks to a massive pipe burst. Locals had to wade through a disaster that looks more like a Hollywood apocalypse film than real life. Is anyone honestly surprised? The state that claims to be forward-thinking can’t even keep the water underground where it belongs.
Democrat leaders love to talk about “progress,” but maybe they should focus on keeping Americans’ homes dry. Instead, city officials are busy preening for cameras and pushing climate panic while real problems drown their own neighborhoods. It’s laughable—blue cities can’t even keep up aging infrastructure. But they never miss a chance to lecture the rest of us about how “green” they are.
People pay through the nose to live in West Hollywood. They’re supposed to feel safe and pampered. Yet, thanks to liberal policies and constant government incompetence, residents woke up to what looked like a natural disaster zone. But this wasn’t nature—this was made by man and made worse by years of left-wing neglect.
Let’s be honest: how much money has California wasted on vanity projects while ignoring what matters? Billions go towards “diversity” initiatives and globalist pet ideas. But when an actual crisis hits, blue-city leaders always act shocked. They call for more taxpayer dollars but can’t deliver basic services.
The same lawmakers who want to ban gas stoves and control your electricity can’t even handle a pipe. Only in liberal-run California can a city flood itself and then pat itself on the back for “bold leadership.” Maybe next time, West Hollywood should try fixing the pipes before chasing every progressive fantasy. Or maybe they just enjoy turning their streets into lakes.
