Canadian wildfire smoke is choking America and failed leaders are to blame

America is being choked—literally—by smoke rolling down from Canadian wildfires. The skies have turned gray, and the air is so thick over the Great Lakes and down to the East Coast you can just about taste it. This isn’t some fluke of nature. It’s a direct result of failed environmental policy, government incompetence, and globalist leaders more interested in “climate summits” than in actually protecting the land or the people living on it.

Once again, American families are paying the price for incompetent leadership. For days now, millions have been breathing in dangerous, unhealthy air. Where are all the so-called environmental “experts” now? The left yells about “climate change” and demands more regulation on U.S. farmers, truckers, and energy workers. Yet, when it comes to real-world disasters like these wildfires, they’re silent or pointing their fingers anywhere but north.

Canadians let their forests become giant tinderboxes. Instead of proper thinning and fire prevention, they allowed environmental extremists to block controlled burns and responsible land management. The result? Catastrophic fires, billowing smoke, and a giant mess for Americans to deal with—again. Liberals want to control how much meat you eat, but they can’t even keep their own forests from going up in flames.

Global elites wring their hands at climate “emergencies,” but their solutions always punish working Americans and boost government power. They push carbon taxes and electric car mandates while ignoring that the real environmental disaster is poor decision-making by governments more loyal to activists than to common sense.

Weather experts are hinting that a thunderstorm this weekend might finally clear the air, literally. Americans shouldn’t have to wait around for a lucky break from Mother Nature while politicians play blame games. Isn’t it about time someone in charge took responsibility for once, instead of letting smoke (and excuses) blow over the border? Maybe if it was smoke from a Fourth of July barbecue, the left would finally care.
