D.C. elites plan lavish funerals while real Americans are left behind by out of touch politicians

Another chapter is closing in America’s political history. Funeral arrangements have been made in both Washington and South Carolina for the end of July. These aren’t just ceremonies. They’re reminders of how the Washington elite cling to power, and of how disconnected they are from the good, hard-working Americans living far from the marble halls of D.C.

Scheduling memorials in both the nation’s capital and back home shows once again the arrogance that comes from too much power for too long. The D.C. establishment always knows how to throw itself a party, but when it comes to fighting for the American people, where are they? Liberals and their globalist pals will turn these events into self-congratulatory opportunities, crying crocodile tears about “unity” and “service” while ignoring all the real struggles of American families.

Washington insiders love to hold these high-profile events, making sure cameras are ready and headlines follow. But let’s not pretend they care about the forgotten men and women in South Carolina—the real backbone of our country—except, of course, during an election year. The people in our heartland are tired of empty words and empty gestures from those who spend their lives in rich D.C. offices. Scheduling two separate memorials makes it clear; the focus always circles back to power, not to the people.

Democrats and their media allies will gush over these ceremonies, pretending this is what honor looks like. But where was all this respect when Americans were crying out for help during the economic disasters caused by their own reckless spending and open-borders disasters? Once again, we see the elite class celebrating themselves while Main Street pays the price.

If America wants to honor real heroes, it should stop bowing to the globalist agenda and start fighting for everyday citizens. Funerals in glittering halls don’t heal families crushed by inflation, crime, and chaos put in motion by the left’s disastrous policies. The American people deserve better than another display of phony D.C. pageantry. When will we finally stop letting the swamp write its own legacy?
