Hollywood Wants to Hide The Odyssey Because It’s an Embarrassment
You know things are bad in Hollywood when the studios resort to censorship to protect their latest “masterpiece” from public ridicule. Take Christopher Nolan’s new film, The Odyssey—a movie that was hyped up as his best work ever by the Hollywood elite and their loyal media. Yet, the moment some real, unfiltered clips start leaking online, the studio freaks out, scrambling like chickens with their heads cut off to get everything yanked off social media. Why? Because even a few seconds on X are enough to make people laugh—or cringe—at this so-called cinematic achievement.
Yesterday, people saw a leaked clip of Ellen Page trying to pass as a fearless, legendary Greek warrior. Let’s be honest: it looked laughable. Compare that to a real action hero—like Brad Pitt’s Achilles. Nolan’s new attempt makes Brad Pitt look like he actually came from the pages of Homer. Nobody’s buying that this is brave, or believable, or even remotely authentic to history or legend. It’s woke reimagining at its worst—another example of Hollywood caring more about checking diversity boxes than actually telling stories people want to watch.
But here’s what’s really telling. Universal and the Hollywood machine demanded these clips, GIFs, and memes get pulled down, even going after people who just shared still images or jokes about the film. Doesn’t exactly scream confidence, does it? A studio that believes in its product lets people talk. They don’t hide from criticism—they invite it. Apparently not this time. The same liberal elites who pat themselves on the back for “standing up to censorship” are quick to use copyright threats to silence any negative buzz about their own expensive disasters.
And let’s not forget, this movie has faced problems since day one. From casting choices straight out of Progressive Fantasy Camp to storylines designed to shame tradition and heroism, the so-called “Odyssey” is a mess. Instead of celebrating Western classics, Hollywood turns them into vehicles for political lecturing, putting virtue-signaling before storytelling. No wonder they want Americans to look away before the movie even drops.
When studios and leftist fanboys are this desperate to scrub criticism, you know they’re hiding something. If The Odyssey is supposedly “the greatest Nolan film,” why are they terrified to let people see it? Maybe because it’s another overhyped, underwhelming, woke flop that regular Americans see right through. How many more Hollywood disasters do we have to suffer before these globalist elites realize—most people aren’t buying their nonsense anymore?
