Americans are told over and over that there’s nothing to worry about with illegal immigration. Open borders are supposed to be compassionate—just welcome everyone in and hope for the best. But what happens when dangerous people take advantage, slipping through the cracks again and again? Just ask anyone who attended the recent FIFA World Cup event in Kansas City. A known criminal, in this country illegally for years, was just arrested after flying a drone in restricted airspace above a massive crowd—putting lives at risk for the umpteenth time.
This wasn’t some harmless slip-up. The man arrested is a Mexican national with a laundry list of crimes: driving drunk, forgery, battery, drugs, and more. He’s already been convicted, deported, warned, and sent packing, but thanks to the blatant failure of Democrat so-called “sanctuary” policies, he slipped right back in. Every American should be asking how this is allowed to keep happening. How many chances do we give? How many laws must he break before liberals admit open borders don’t work?
What makes this case even more infuriating is just how easy it would have been for him to cause chaos. Flying a drone near a packed sports stadium—while the world’s eyes are on us—isn’t just reckless, it’s a blatant threat to public safety. Remember, these events are heavily protected for a reason: terrorists have tried to use drones before, and you don’t need much imagination to see the danger. Who’s going to take responsibility for putting thousands of American families at risk—another press conference from some out-of-touch bureaucrat?
And let’s not kid ourselves. If the Biden Administration had its way, guys like this would be roaming free, their “rights” protected, while American citizens foot the bill. The left is more focused on virtue-signaling for globalist brownie points than protecting actual Americans. Meanwhile, the rest of us are left hoping ICE does its job—when it’s not being attacked or defunded by the radical left.
The truth is simple: border security is national security, and political correctness is getting people hurt. How many more near-misses and “it could have been worse” moments will it take for liberals to stop pretending our immigration system is working? The World Cup incident is only the latest proof that open borders mean open season on America’s safety. Wake up, or get used to living in fear—because the left’s failed policies put criminals behind the controls and Americans right in the crosshairs.
