Randi Weingarten has completely lost it. The head of America’s biggest teachers’ union is too busy harassing businesses and chasing political fads to care about actual education. While kids across the country slip behind in reading and math, Weingarten focuses all her attention on political grandstanding. Instead of demanding excellence in our schools, she’s writing angry letters to corporations, trying to bully them into denouncing law enforcement and adopting the latest woke cause. Meanwhile, math and literacy scores are falling off a cliff.
It would be almost laughable if it wasn’t so destructive. In Weingarten’s world, the classroom isn’t about learning—it’s about indoctrination. The real goal isn’t to make sure students excel at reading, science, or arithmetic. No, children are supposed to memorize a grab bag of gender theories and left-wing slogans instead. Forget about teaching little Timmy how to solve basic math problems. The new priority is making sure every kid can recite the woke catechism and spot “systemic oppression” in every corner of American life.
Weingarten’s latest performance at a teachers’ union event made it painfully clear: she’s not hiding her agenda. She bellowed about bending the so-called “arc” and changing the nation’s trajectory. That’s union-speak for pushing radical ideas and tearing down what made America great. She seems almost proud that education is in chaos. If anything, she’s counting on it—to build a future even more hostile to traditional values, parents’ rights, and real achievement.
Let’s get real. Our public schools are failing. The only thing growing faster than Weingarten’s ego is her pension, padded with taxpayer dollars. She and her cronies aren’t sweating over crashing test scores. Instead, they double down on woke politics and blame everyone else for the disaster on their watch. And when she finally moves on, it’s not like things will get better. The teachers’ union crowd behind her is even more extreme—and they’re just as eager to keep fleecing taxpayers to fund their anti-American agenda.
America doesn’t need more lectures from union bosses and leftist bureaucrats. We need to put parents and states back in charge and get the radicals out of our classrooms. President Trump is fighting for real education reform, not some socialist pipe dream. Why should anyone trust a union leader with a dismal record and a loud mouth to “secure a better future”? If this is what leadership looks like on the Left, is it any wonder our schools are in crisis?
