Now the left is running around like chickens with their heads cut off, begging anyone with a pulse to jump back in the race.
It’s a mess. Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong is the frontrunner, but let’s be honest—she couldn’t win a general election in Wisconsin if her life depended on it. Even Democrats know this! That’s why they’re literally praying for ex-Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes or Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley to rescue their sinking ship. Except Barnes already blew his U.S. Senate race against Ron Johnson, and Crowley’s track record is a disaster. When your best hope is someone who left Milwaukee with a $168 million deficit and put government workers’ healthcare at risk, what does that say about your party?
The hypocrisy just never stops. Democrats scream about Republicans being “dangerous” for Wisconsin, but look how they run their own shop. While their far-left base wants more socialism, regular Wisconsinites don’t want Milwaukee’s reckless spending, soaring crime, and urban decay spreading to their own backyards. The more WisDems lean into the failed policies and talking points of coastal elites, the more voters in the heartland say, “No, thanks.”
It’s crystal clear: the Democrats in Wisconsin are out of answers and out of time. They’re not just losing. They’re desperate.
