Socialist flees leftist chaos then blames America for everything you won’t believe his logic

It’s always bizarre to witness the mental gymnastics the left takes when it comes to immigration and America’s role in the world. Case in point: a recent interview with a socialist activist whose family fled Peru in the 1990s, right in the midst of the Shining Path’s reign of terror. His family literally ran from Maoist guerrillas, yet he somehow turns around and blames the United States and capitalism for Latin America’s woes. You can’t make this stuff up.

This is the kind of upside-down logic that has come to define the modern left. Here you have a New York City socialist leader, sitting comfortably in the United States, enjoying the freedoms and opportunities this country provides, lecturing America about supposed imperialism. He says it’s actually American influence that pushes people out of Latin America and drives them to come to the U.S. If that claim sounds ridiculous, it’s because it is.

Let’s get real. People don’t risk everything to come to this country because America is oppressing them from afar. They come because every socialist experiment in Latin America falls flat on its face, turning once-thriving places into danger zones and economic disasters. They flee the brutal results of left-wing policies, only to then turn around and promote the same failed ideology here. It’s like escaping a burning building, then lighting matches in your new home.

Meanwhile, the left never misses an opportunity to blame the United States for everyone’s problems but refuses to look in the mirror. When questioned about their twisted logic, they just double down, insisting that America is to blame even for people running toward its borders. The hypocrisy is astounding. The left claims to support “the people,” but just look at the reality: countries that embrace socialism end up crumbling, and their citizens run straight into the arms of “evil capitalism.”

At what point will liberals admit their own ideas have failed spectacularly, not just here, but around the world? If America is so terrible, why is everyone desperate to get in—especially those running from leftist disaster zones? Maybe it’s time the left tried a little honesty for once. Or would that be too much sense for them to handle?
