Talarico busted for exploiting victims family in failed smear against Ken Paxton

James Talarico’s desperate attempt to destroy Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has blown up in his face — and let’s be honest, nobody’s surprised. When Democrats run out of ideas, they reach for mud and hope to score cheap points. This time, Talarico tried to weaponize a child abuse scandal to smear a Republican, and he got caught red-handed.

Everyone remembers the Adam Hoffman case. The former Waco lawyer got a controversial plea deal, which some people questioned. Hoffman was charged with unspeakable acts, but he took a deal that put him behind bars for just about a month and clocked out without registering as a sex offender. Democrats immediately grabbed their pitchforks and pointed them straight at Paxton, insisting that he’s part of some elaborate scheme to protect monsters.

But here’s where the liberal narrative completely collapsed. Talarico went out of his way to claim he was in close contact with the victim’s family, trying to wrap himself in their pain for his own political gain. He made grandstanding statements attacking Paxton — the usual “he’s soft on pedophiles” rhetoric. The left loved it. Until the family itself stepped into the spotlight.

It turns out, the victim’s family shut down Talarico’s phony show. They said loud and clear they’d never spoken to him. They’re sick of being used in political games — and can anyone blame them? This family is dealing with real pain, not looking to be pawns in some left-wing crusade. Meanwhile, Talarico’s campaign scrambled to save face, spewing platitudes about reaching out and offering support. What a joke.

This is modern liberal politics in a nutshell: say whatever it takes, twist the truth, use victims as political props, and then play innocent when caught. The left is so obsessed with destroying conservatives that they don’t care who they hurt — just as long as they get their headlines and donations. Apparently, integrity is the one thing Democrats are willing to trade away every single time.

Maybe next time, Talarico and his leftist allies should take a break from their smear campaigns and try telling the truth. Or is that just too much to expect from a party that would rather exploit families than fix real problems?
