For years, the left’s favorite buzzword has been “humanism.” Liberals parade this supposedly compassionate, moral philosophy as if it’s all about peace, tolerance, and progress. But a real look at history tells a much darker story. The roots of their “humanism” lie not in dignity or rights—but in radical revolution, socialism, and yes, hate. The modern left repackages ugly ideas with shiny new names, hoping Americans never notice the bloodstained trail behind their slogans.
Nineteenth-century Germany birthed a form of humanism miles away from what liberals push today. Back then, it wasn’t about individual liberty. It was about shoving individuals into the collective meat grinder. God was thrown out, reason twisted, and the goal was dissolving every person’s unique identity into a nameless, faceless mass called “humanity.” Private property was marked for destruction. Religion and patriotism? Those were labeled as enemies—alien powers to be dismantled, by force if necessary. It was open season on everything that made civilization strong.
This radical philosophy didn’t bubble up in a vacuum. Titans like Marx and Feuerbach gave the movement its unholy scripture. They saw faith, family, and freedom as “alienation”—things that held back their socialist utopia. Humanism became the bridge to communism. Socialism, in their hands, wasn’t just about sharing wealth. It was about erasing souls. Those so-called “humanists” were hell-bent on smashing old societies to pieces and building a cold new world order—godless, property-less, and pitiless.
Even scarier—antisemitism was baked deep into this cake. Figures such as Wilhelm Marr, who gave the world the very term “antisemitism,” came out of this radical humanist cauldron. For him and his leftist allies, Jews became the scapegoat. They were painted as symbols of money, capitalism, and everything “wrong” with the existing order. The ugly logic was simple: if you want to mobilize the mob and seize power, first isolate a target and blame them for every problem. Sound familiar? It should. The left’s weaponizing of victimhood and division is nothing new—they’ve just dressed it up for the 21st century.
Today’s “humanists” claim all that is in the past. They’ve sanitized the label, dumped the overt socialism, and hush up about their movement’s radical, antisemitic roots. But scratch the surface, and the same tactics pop up. Whenever it comes to Israel, modern progressives always seem to side with the leftist mob, playing favorites and ignoring Jewish victims. “Humanitarianism” becomes just another excuse for selective outrage, as globalist elites push their agenda under a supposedly noble cause. Ask yourself: With a history so rotten beneath the surface, why should anyone trust these self-proclaimed champions of humanity?
The truth is, when the left talks about “saving the world,” what they’re really selling is the oldest trick around—a disguise for their lust for power, division, and control. Americans would be fools to fall for the same ruse twice.
