Michigan Democrats hit rock bottom with their Senate race trainwreck

Michigan Democrats just found their new poster child for political failure. Abdul El-Sayed, the darling of the left’s “woke” wing, can’t even catch a break—let alone, apparently, a dog. The old saying goes that some politicians couldn’t get elected dogcatcher. Well, thanks to Michigan’s Senate race, that insult finally has a name and a face. It’s El-Sayed’s.

Remember when liberals told us their new breed of candidates would usher in a glorious era of progress? Now, they’re stuck with someone whose political career couldn’t catch its own tail. This is what happens when Democrats prioritize identity politics and radical ideas over real leadership. Michigan voters want serious solutions, not empty promises from folks more interested in checking woke boxes than serving the people.

Abdul El-Sayed has plenty of star power in leftist circles. The media fawns over his activist background and globalist credentials. But back here in reality, voters aren’t buying what he’s selling. Even in a state that once fell for the Obama fairy tale, the appetite just isn’t there for another elitist who talks big and delivers nothing.

It’s painfully obvious why Michigan Democrats are scrambling. Their pool of candidates is so weak that even fringe figures like El-Sayed float to the top. The left would rather push failed activists and Twitter stars than candidates who actually understand law and order, the economy, or the struggles of working families. The American people are sick of empty suits and social media slogans. They want leaders, not leftist mascots.

If Michigan wants a senator who’s more interested in real issues than chasing progressive fantasies, Abdul El-Sayed isn’t the answer. Maybe it’s time for Democrats to send their “dogcatcher” candidates back to the minor leagues—before voters decide to clean house for good. How many times does America need to see liberal incompetence exposed before people finally say, “enough is enough”?
