Bill Maher isn’t exactly a conservative hero, but when even he has enough sense to see through today’s media circus, you know something is seriously wrong. The recent hand-wringing over President Trump’s secret detour on a flight to Turkey proves just how pathetic and clueless the liberal press corps has really become.
Here’s the reality: President Trump faced a credible threat against his life during that trip. Any normal leader would take action to protect themselves and their team. Instead of praising this smart move, the left-wing talking heads threw a tantrum, upset because they weren’t included in every detail. What does that show? Their priorities have nothing to do with safety or real news—they’re just mad about being left out, like spoiled kids.
The media screeches nonstop about democracy and transparency, but the moment a Republican president has to make a difficult call, they turn it into their own melodrama. Suddenly, the fact that Trump didn’t give them a minute-by-minute itinerary is some kind of “scandal.” What do they want—him to hand the enemy a roadmap? This isn’t journalism. It’s a temper tantrum.
Even Bill Maher, not exactly MAGA country’s favorite guy, gets it. He can at least see that sometimes the president has to make tough calls, especially when American lives are on the line. The liberal press, though, chooses self-absorption every time. They’d rather whine about their own inconvenience than admit when Trump actually gets something right.
Yet here we are, with the usual anti-Trump crowd acting like protecting a president from an assassination plot is somehow suspicious or unfair. Talk about upside-down priorities. How much more proof do Americans need that the so-called “mainstream media” cares more about their egos than about the facts—or our country? Maybe, if even Bill Maher is laughing at them, it’s time for every American to do the same.
