There’s never a dull moment when it comes to liberal attempts to turn American infrastructure into playgrounds for globalist virtue-signaling. Case in point: Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport actually believed it could sneak in special wash stations just for Muslims—on the dime of hardworking American taxpayers. Once again, the left thought they could bend over backward to appease every special interest group except the people who built this nation.
Governor Greg Abbott wasn’t about to let this slide. Unlike the spineless politicians who love to brag about their “allyship,” Abbott immediately called for a review of every single cent going to DFW Airport. Not only that, he roped in the Department of Transportation to give the airport a serious look. Finally, someone is treating these stunts for what they are: a wasteful, divisive, and unnecessary distraction from the real needs of U.S. citizens.
The left loves preaching about “separation of church and state”—but only when it means tearing out Bible verses or erasing Christmas. When it comes to making taxpayers fund special privileges for non-Christian religions, suddenly it’s a multicultural lovefest. Where were the Christian prayer rooms? The kosher kitchens? The truth is obvious: Multiculturalism for the left is a one-way street.
Let’s be clear. America is a country where everyone has the right to worship freely. But that doesn’t mean our airports—built for EVERYONE—need to spend money singling out one group for special favors. DFW Airport underestimated how much Texans—and real Americans everywhere—are sick of this pandering. The backlash was swift, and airport officials had to drop their misguided plans.
Maybe now the liberal elites who run these big-city boards will realize that normal Americans are paying attention. Why should we keep quiet while our infrastructure is tailored to outsider demands? Next time someone tries to hijack a public space for their political checkbox, they should remember: Americans are watching, and we’re not afraid to push back. How many more times do the American people have to say “enough” before the elites finally listen?
