Texas Officials Side with Globalist Agenda, Betray Proud McKinney Residents
McKinney, Texas isn’t just another small American town—it’s a symbol of what happens when local officials ignore the voice of the people. Recently, McKinney’s city council decided it knew best and let the massive expansion of an Islamic center roll right ahead, despite an outpouring of anger from taxpaying citizens. Whether it’s arrogance, incompetence, or just sheer disregard for common sense, one thing is clear: these so-called representatives have abandoned their duty.
While locals filled town meetings, begging for their leaders to listen, an out-of-touch city council pushed the globalist agenda like they were taking orders from Washington elites. The council acted like the concerns of their own voters didn’t matter. Meanwhile, those who stood up for McKinney’s traditions—like Republican Rep. Keith Self—were left to go it alone against a wave of political correctness.
Let’s be honest—this is exactly how left-wing policies fail every single time. Liberal politicians love to claim they support “community input,” but when citizens finally speak up against something that goes against their values, suddenly it’s all about “tolerance” and shutting down debate. The people of McKinney saw their own city manipulated, their safety and way of life shrugged off, all so that officials could pat themselves on the back for being “woke.”
These aren’t minor changes. The expansion of the Islamic center isn’t just bricks and mortar. It’s a sign of how our own traditions can be bulldozed, piece by piece. When leaders ignore the people, they send a message: that American values aren’t welcome in American towns.
Now, McKinney officials face the music. The angry crowd at those council meetings isn’t going away quietly. There’s serious talk of recalling the very leaders who betrayed them—and frankly, they deserve it. Why should citizens accept politicians who side with global interests over their own voters? Maybe next time, the elites will think twice before trampling on the will of the people.
