It’s a perfect example of how out-of-touch Democrats have become. Even Cuban, who threw his weight behind Kamala Harris for president and typically votes Democrat, sees the insanity in Khanna’s dreams of a massive wealth tax.
Liberals like Khanna don’t want to just tax what people earn, they want to punish them for what they might one day make. The so-called “wealth tax” doesn’t stop at taxing actual cash in the bank or sold investments. No—these progressive zealots want to tax “unrealized gains”—that’s money people haven’t even received yet! Imagine being forced to pay up for profits you could lose tomorrow. That’s not common sense, it’s legalized theft.
The American dream is supposed to reward hard work and risk-taking. Instead, Democrats are obsessed with soaking the rich to bankroll their ever-growing wish lists of government handouts and bloated programs. Globalists and elites push these policies while hiding their own fortunes offshore, laughing all the way to the bank. Meanwhile, small business owners and future job creators get threatened, targeted, and squeezed out by the ruling party’s anti-American agenda.
There’s a reason why even successful business leaders on the Left are raising the alarm. When someone like Mark Cuban says the Democrats’ plan is nuts, you know things have gotten way off track. Liberals preach about fairness, but nothing is fair about punishing people for building something great—especially when that “success” is only on paper and can disappear in a heartbeat with one market crash.
Americans have always believed you can make something of yourself with hard work and grit. But if the Left has its way, that spirit will be replaced with envy, bureaucracy, and government greed. Is this really the future we want—Washington taking what it wants before you even see your own paycheck? Only the most out-of-touch elitists could think this is the American way.
