Nancy Mace wants America to know she’s got nine tattoos and she’s proud of it. She says it’s about the pain—she actually likes it. She even picked a line from Virginia Woolf for one of her tattoos. Yes, that’s the same Woolf who ended her own life, completely undone by her own mind. This is the “role model” our leaders push for America’s young women? It’s no surprise, coming from the crowd obsessed with expressing pain and calling it empowerment.
Liberals told us that “self-care” meant bubble baths and hugs. Apparently, it now means permanently inking your skin with reminders of depression and self-doubt. Why are so many on the left obsessed with showing off their damage, like battle scars in a never-ending war against happiness? These are the same people who preach positivity and mental health while celebrating dysfunction.
Here’s the real issue: the left loves to glamorize pain, then act shocked when society unravels. Personal struggle becomes a badge of honor instead of something to fight through and overcome. It’s a distraction from real achievements. We’re supposed to believe that seeking pain is a virtue—while real American values like faith, family, and resilience get pushed out of the conversation.
Mace thinks a tattoo quoting a woman who gave up on life is edgy and deep. But this is a symptom of a broken system that elevates tragic figures over real heroes. Instead of holding up examples of grit and perseverance, liberals want us to wallow in victimhood. They call it “authenticity.” The truth? It’s just more anti-American self-destruction, sold as trendy rebellion.
At the end of the day, America used to believe in overcoming pain, not wearing it as a trophy. Maybe it’s time our leaders stopped turning self-harm into an art form and started leading the way back to strength and sanity. Or is personal misery the only thing the left still knows how to celebrate?
