NYC Mayor attacks Amazon but quietly uses same so-called shady contracts to run the city

It’s amazing how fast the left can turn on a dime when it fits their anti-business agenda. New York City’s own Mayor Zohran Mamdani is attacking Amazon, the very company making it possible for millions to get their necessities on time. His big plan? He wants to ban the way Amazon contracts with delivery services, claiming it’s somehow unfair or harmful. But here’s the kicker—New York’s entire government runs on contracts just like Amazon’s! The hypocrisy would be hilarious if it wasn’t so dangerous.

Liberals like Mamdani love to bash corporations, especially successful ones like Amazon, whenever it gets them social media likes. They claim Amazon treats workers badly for using independent contractors, pretending they’re the champions of the “little guy.” But every day, City Hall is signing contracts with private companies for all kinds of essential work—garbage collection, maintenance, even school services. If it’s evil when Amazon does it, why is it fine when the city’s liberal leaders use the exact same playbook for themselves?

What’s really happening here isn’t about helping workers. It’s about appeasing anti-capitalist activists and feeding a dangerous big-government agenda. Progressives despise competition and choice. Instead, they want to kneecap any business that refuses to fall in line and beg for government approval. They talk a big game about “equity,” but in practice, they’re gutting opportunity and blowing holes in the very system that built New York into the powerhouse it is today.

Let’s face it: This is classic liberal incompetence and globalist virtue-signaling at work. While they waste time targeting Amazon and crippling economic growth, our streets become less safe, taxes soar, and families are forced to foot the bill. All the while, the same liberal city officials line their pockets using the “evil” contract model they claim to despise.

Could Mamdani and his pals even keep the city running without the freedom—for both sides—to use contracts? Or is this just the next step in their power-grab, crushing one more American icon in the name of woke politics? The hypocrisy has reached laugh-out-loud levels. Maybe it’s time someone delivered a package of common sense straight to City Hall’s front door.
