When the left talks about “accountability,” what they really mean is, “rules for thee, not for me.” Case in point: Jill Stein, the Green Party darling, decided she was too important to show up to court on Monday. So what happened? A judge in St. Louis had to do what’s right—issue a warrant for her arrest. Yet the liberal elite pretend this is just business as usual.
This is classic liberal behavior on full display. Jill Stein wants to posture as the savior of the planet, but when it’s time to face justice, she heads for the door. Regular Americans don’t get to skip their court dates and expect sympathy. If an average Joe ducked out of a court hearing, there’d be no hand-wringing, no special treatment, and certainly no fawning media excuses. But if you’re a progressive activist? Suddenly, it’s all hand-waves and shrugs.
St. Louis has become a playground for activists who think they’re above the law. Stein’s actions show utter contempt—not just for the legal system, but for the people who still believe in fairness. Somehow, the left manages to pat themselves on the back for “resisting” the very laws that hold society together. It’s a special kind of arrogance you only find in the so-called “progressive” camp.
Ask yourself: why do these globalist mouthpieces think they’re untouchable? Is it the media coddling? The virtue-signaling elite covering for them at every turn? Or maybe it’s because they know there are two sets of rules—one for their woke friends, and a much harsher one for the rest of us. No matter the reason, the hypocrisy reeks.
At the end of the day, Stein’s no-show is another slap in the face to every hard-working American who follows the rules. If leftist politicians and activists can’t bother to appear in court—what business do they have lecturing the rest of us about “justice”? Maybe it’s time the law started holding them to the same standard as everyone else. Or is that too much to ask from the party of “fairness”?
