Colorado’s liberal lawmakers are at it again, chipping away at our God-given rights with the latest nonsense they call the Semiautomatic Firearms and Rapid-Fire Devices Act. Instead of keeping criminals off the streets, these out-of-touch politicians have cooked up a law that punishes regular, law-abiding citizens. Now, if you want to own a basic, ordinary firearm in Colorado, you’d better hope you have plenty of time and money to waste on some ridiculous state-approved training scheme. And don’t forget—you need to beg for permission from the government, too.
This is classic big government overreach: more red tape, more restrictions, none of it making anyone any safer. Apparently, Colorado lawmakers are convinced that making honest folks jump through hoops will scare off violent criminals. Here’s the real kicker: All this fuss and the criminals will just keep on ignoring the rules, just like always. It’s the decent, hardworking Coloradans who pay the price for this liberal virtue signaling.
But there’s a flicker of hope for common sense. Sheriffs across the state are standing up to this disaster. They refuse to enforce yet another unconstitutional nightmare dreamt up by the anti-gun crowd. These sheriffs know the Constitution means what it says, not what the latest batch of progressive politicians want it to mean. They know the Second Amendment isn’t negotiable, no matter how hard the woke crowd tries to water it down.
Colorado’s leftist political class isn’t just out of touch—they’re shameless in their attempts to sidestep the Supreme Court and attack the Second Amendment. While globalist elites and their local puppets dream up ways to control every aspect of American life, real patriots in law enforcement remember which side they’re on. Maybe the elites should try asking real people in Colorado what they think for a change—if they can stomach hearing the truth.
This law is about control, not safety. It’s about pushing an anti-American agenda, stripping away rights one “certificate” at a time. The real question now: How long are freedom-loving Americans going to let bumbling bureaucrats decide who’s allowed to exercise their rights? Maybe it’s time these politicians stop attacking the Constitution—and start defending it for once.
