There’s nothing more chilling than a parent reading the words: “There is an active shooter in our building.” It’s the kind of sentence that freezes your blood — but sadly, it’s become a nightmare too many American families have faced. One mother, after a beautiful spring morning dropping off her second and fourth graders, watched her world collapse as violence ripped through what should have been a safe haven: her children’s school.
But let’s be honest, these tragedies aren’t happening in a vacuum. The left has spent decades gutting discipline, eroding moral standards, and mocking faith in public life. Our schools used to be places of prayer, respect, and order. Now, thanks to progressive politicians and their activist friends, they’re chaotic playgrounds for criminals. When parents beg for real security, the liberal answer is always more bureaucracy and less freedom.
Instead of protecting our children, Democrats push feel-good policies, attack the Second Amendment, and blame law-abiding Americans for the acts of criminals. They would rather score points with Hollywood elites and globalist donors than actually put armed security or metal detectors in schools. Meanwhile, parents are forced to live every day with the anxiety that one text message could destroy their lives.
The hypocrisy is everywhere. Politicians’ own kids go to private schools with locked doors, cameras, and guards. But when average Americans ask for the same level of protection, we’re branded “extremists.” These hypocrites preach about “gun-free zones” while surrounding themselves with layers of armed security. They care more about advancing a globalist agenda than standing up for America’s families.
If only liberals fought as hard for our children’s safety as they do for political control. Is it really too much to ask for schools to be as safe as their town halls or their banks? How many more parents need to pray their children come home before politicians put American families first?
