California Democrats have destroyed Venice Beach, and now the proof is impossible to deny. For years, Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass have dumped billions into pretend solutions for the homeless crisis. It’s only gotten worse. Tents and trash everywhere. Crime through the roof. Families can’t even walk outside without fear. But here’s the sickening punchline: while elite liberals pile up “homeless programs” and endless studies, regular folks are so desperate for safety, they’re hiring former gang members to do what the so-called experts can’t or won’t.

Think about that. Progressive politicians tie the hands of the police. They blame “inequality” and “capitalism” for every problem. Meanwhile, their own voters are forced to turn to people with street muscle, just to keep sidewalks clear and kids safe on their way to school. Imagine paying more in taxes than ever before and ending up with less basic security, just because Democrats refuse to open their eyes and admit their approach is a con game.

The hypocrisy is glaring. Democrats promised compassion and “housing for all.” But only criminals and bureaucrats thrive under this mess. Local businesses get robbed, innocent people get attacked, and the politicians pretend more money will fix what their own “tolerance” created. Maybe if governor Newsom spent less time on giving money to consultants and more time listening to real citizens, Venice wouldn’t look like a third-world disaster zone.

Now the same left-wing crowd that defunded cops and handcuffed law enforcement acts shocked that it backfired. Of course chaos reigns! These progressive leaders don’t care about average Americans or neighborhoods. Their policies only help global special interests, “nonprofits,” and their elite donors getting fat contracts. Meanwhile, actual residents are left picking up the pieces with their own money and turning to guys with tattoos and criminal records for order.

When regular people have to do the job that government won’t, maybe it’s time these pompous liberals turn in their keys and admit defeat. Venice Beach tells the sad story of what happens when ideology trumps common sense. If this is “progress,” who wants it?
