Debbie Wasserman Schultz has pulled off a win in Florida’s 20th congressional primary, and liberals are celebrating like it’s some kind of huge victory. But anyone paying attention can see just how messed up and hilarious the whole thing is. Here we had a district that was drawn to give minorities a leg up—supposedly to make politics more “fair.” It’s always been represented by a black Democrat, in the name of diversity and inclusivity, or whatever empty buzzword the left is pushing this week.
But what happened when push came to shove? Four black Democrat candidates tossed their names into the ring, splitting the vote. Suddenly, good old Debbie Wasserman Schultz—an establishment, white, career politician—waltzed in and grabbed the win. Looks like the Democrats’ own diversity games just blew up right in their faces. So much for their talk about “representation.” Turns out, when the left talks about equality, what they really mean is keeping power for their own loyal insiders.
Let’s not forget, Wasserman Schultz is no stranger to controversy. She’s built her career on pandering to whatever crowd she needs for votes, all while cozying up to the globalist elites. Yet here she is, swooping into a minority-majority district the Democrats claimed was designed for black candidates. The hypocrisy is just too rich. For all their virtue signaling, the party machine will always pick a reliable liberal foot soldier over their supposed “principles.”
Liberals will try to spin this as democracy in action. But anyone with common sense can see exactly what’s going on: the party didn’t care one bit about actually empowering black voters. They just wanted to pick whoever would keep their big government circus rolling. And they expect everyone else to ignore the obvious hypocrisy of the situation. It’s all about keeping power in the hands of the same old Democratic insiders, no matter what their voters actually want.
So while the left cheers Debbie’s victory, maybe they should ask themselves why their own rigged system lets an establishment hack snatch a seat built, by their logic, for someone else entirely. Are these really the champions of progress the country needs, or just a bunch of frauds selling the same tired lies?
