Once, newspapers did their job. Someone would gather the facts, check their sources, and deliver them to people who could trust what they read. But that’s ancient history. Today, the idea of journalism is as dead as the morning paper tossed onto a rain-soaked porch. The truth has been sold out, and all that’s left is half-baked propaganda wrapped in yesterday’s headlines.
People used to rely on the news—not just to inform them, but to unite them. Towns heard from honest neighbors or scrappy reporters who actually cared about their own communities. Small town editors used to keep the big-city papers honest, and citizens compared stories, demanding proof. That’s been smashed to pieces by a left-wing media that wants power, not the truth. Now, media giants take their marching orders from D.C. and globalist boardrooms, not your local main street.
Cable news and the internet broke the old model. With twenty-four hours to fill and no standards left, journalists morphed into TV clowns. Nobody checks facts when outrage pays better than honesty. If a real story doesn’t fit the liberal agenda, it gets buried under “breaking news” that’s hours old. Regional voices got crushed. Suddenly, one-size-fits-all broadcasts blared the right opinions into every living room—from New York to Nebraska. Small-town America? Ignored, mocked, and left to rot.
Now anyone with a keyboard can pretend to be a reporter, but that hasn’t made the world smarter. Social media algorithms push whatever’s most shocking, most divisive—a never-ending fire hose of nonsense. Accuracy and trust? Gone. The old watchdogs now bite on command, serving up whatever the woke left or Biden White House want you to swallow. Newsrooms once claimed the moral high ground. Now they’re busy curating the “right” version of reality, shutting out facts that don’t fit their script.
This is what happens when liberals control the narrative. They cry about “disinformation” while churning out their own, silencing dissent, and calling it progress. Newspapers didn’t just lose their advertising—they lost their souls. Today’s so-called journalists have traded American values for corporate cash and political agendas. The “news” is little more than clickbait wrapped in a tired costume, hoping you won’t notice the rot underneath. And here’s the only question left: Why does anyone still bother reading?
