The left will blame Donald Trump for just about anything these days, even when it makes absolutely no sense. Just take a look at what’s happening at Cornell University—a notorious breeding ground for woke nonsense and progressive policies. Now, an opinion writer is actually pointing the finger at Trump for an alleged rape case at this liberal institution. That’s right—Trump gets thrown under the bus for a crime that supposedly happened years ago at a place run by Democrats.
It’s bad enough that justice wasn’t served two years ago when the accusations first surfaced. The district attorney in this extremely liberal part of New York—a Democrat, of course—couldn’t even find a reason to press charges. But suddenly, the media elites and their friends in academia are desperate to tie it all to Orange Man Bad. They have no real interest in fixing what’s wrong on their own campuses. They just want a scapegoat.
This is Trump Derangement Syndrome at its worst. Instead of facing the ugly reality of what goes on in left-wing universities—a place they control from the administration offices to the classrooms—liberals will do mental gymnastics to link every tragedy to the guy they hate most. They refuse to admit their policies are broken or that their woke culture is out of control.
Democrats love to lecture ordinary Americans about morality and justice, but when their own side drops the ball, they just look for someone else to blame. The hypocrisy is off the charts. They’ll ignore the failures of their own justice system, the dangers of their campus ideologies, and the fact that real people get hurt when no one takes responsibility.
Here’s a simple question—when will the left ever admit fault for the messes they’ve created? Or will they keep pinning everything on Trump, hoping no one notices their own incompetence? Americans are getting sick of the blame game. Maybe it’s time liberals stopped screaming about Trump and started cleaning up their own backyard.
