Instead of dealing with California’s real problems—rampant homelessness, rolling blackouts, and sky-high crime—Democrat elites are obsessed with squeezing every last penny from the people who actually create jobs. All while Porter and her buddies pretend they’re “standing up” for the little guy. Think about it: if people work hard, take risks, and build a business, shouldn’t they be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor? Does anyone believe the liberals behind this billionaire tax care about everyday folks? Not a chance. What they really want is control. They want more power, more government, and more of your money to waste. Instead of fixing their broken cities or cleaning up their schools, they’re happy to chase out the very people who keep the state afloat—all while flying all over the world and preaching about “equity.”
It’s a textbook example of how left-wing thinking leads right to disaster. Proposition 40 isn’t just a tax on billionaires. It’s a warning for the rest of the country: let the woke crowd run things, and soon there won’t be any success left to punish.
