It’s a sad day in America when Iowans have to find out that their private data was basically up for grabs by Communist China—and who’s to blame for that? Certainly not patriotic Americans, but rather the globalist elites and clueless liberals who let shady foreign companies into our backyards with no questions asked. The Iowa attorney general just had to step in and sue a video surveillance company after discovering that the cameras used across the state were sending our information straight into the hands of America’s biggest enemy.
Let that sink in. The cameras controlling security and keeping an eye on homes, businesses, maybe even government buildings, were manufactured by Hikvision and Dahua. These are companies that our own government already flagged as dangerous to national security. But apparently, that warning wasn’t good enough for the geniuses calling the shots in Iowa and nationwide. There was no warning, no label, nothing to tip off regular Iowans that their security cameras were secret Chinese spies. That’s absolute incompetence—maybe even negligence.
So what’s the excuse now? Liberals love to talk about privacy and foreign interference, but where were their so-called “experts” when it came to blocking products from known adversaries? Too busy chasing Russian ghosts and passing useless regulations while letting the Chinese walk right in the front door. It’s proof, once again, that the left cares more about hurting conservatives than actually protecting Americans from real threats.
Let’s not kid ourselves—this isn’t just an Iowa problem. It’s happening all across the country because globalist interests run amok and nobody in Washington seems interested in standing up to China. Americans have been told to trust technology and “progress,” and look how that turned out: more vulnerability, less privacy, and foreign powers laughing at our stupidity. We’re told China is our “trading partner,” but apparently, they’re also getting a backstage pass to our lives thanks to lazy, incompetent leadership.
Why should Americans ever trust these globalist products again? If liberals and big tech can’t even warn people when they’re putting their homes and families at risk, what on earth will they protect next time? This is what happens when America forgets who the real enemy is—and it’s time to wake up before it’s too late.
