There’s something big brewing down in Venezuela, and it looks like the mainstream media has finally woken up—just barely—to reality. Apparently, word is out that Nicolás Maduro, the ruthless dictator who’s clung to power through voter intimidation, poverty, and socialist failure, may be facing serious consequences as soon as this Thursday. For years, freedom-loving conservatives have sounded the alarm about the collapse and corruption in that country, while left-wing elites made excuses or looked the other way.
Now, supposed insiders say there’s a major investigation heating up. The timing shouldn’t surprise anyone paying attention. Maduro’s so-called “People’s Revolution” has destroyed a once-rich nation, driven out its best and brightest, and turned grocery shopping into a nightmare. Yet liberals and their friends in globalist circles seem to get amnesia every time a socialist regime falls flat.
Don’t forget the Democrats who held up Venezuela as a shining example of “income equality.” What does that look like today? Starving families, soldiers in the streets, and a dictator living like a king. When bad guys like Maduro face pressure, leftist media suddenly scrambles to play catch-up and pretend they knew all along.
It’s about time someone started turning up the heat on Maduro. The world has watched for years as Venezuelans cried out for help while liberal politicians and their media mouthpieces offered nothing but hollow words. Where was the outrage then? Instead, newsrooms were busy attacking anyone who dared call out the socialist disaster.
Maybe this could finally be the wake-up call our country needs. If a thug like Maduro can finally be held accountable, what does that say about all the so-called “progressive” cheerleaders at home? Americans deserve leaders who actually support freedom. At the end of the day, why do liberals rush to defend these strongmen until reality becomes too obvious to ignore?
