Another day, another disgrace in America’s so-called justice system. Christa Pike, a convicted murderer from Tennessee, was scheduled to finally face the death penalty last week. But, in a move straight out of a bad sitcom, she survived not one, but two attempted lethal injections. Now she’s awake, chatting with doctors, and the media is already drooling over her “ordeal.” You can’t make this up.
Only in America, it seems, can a cold-blooded killer dodge death after the system bends over backward to make things “humane.” Let’s be clear — pentobarbital, the drug used in these executions, is supposed to end things quickly. But here we are, gasping as a murderer outlasts the very punishment the court demanded. Maybe the government was too busy worrying about her “rights” instead of delivering justice for her victim. Is this what the bleeding-hearts call progress?
The left wants us to believe that the death penalty is “cruel” and “unusual.” Tell that to the families who never saw justice carried out, or the taxpayers funding years of appeals while killers like Pike become national headlines. Liberals love to lecture Americans on fairness and compassion, but where is their empathy for the victims? Where is their outrage when bureaucracy and activist judges drag these cases out so long, even the method of execution becomes a circus?
Of course, the “experts” and activists are now wringing their hands, calling for new investigations. Some are probably typing up think pieces on why the death penalty should be abolished altogether. But don’t be fooled. This is exactly the chaos the globalist elite thrives on — every law, every tradition, chipped away until justice means nothing. Americans are left footing the bill while criminals laugh in the face of real consequences.
If our leaders spent half as much time fixing these failures as they do apologizing to criminals, maybe families would finally see real justice. Instead, we get more endless excuses, more delays, and more stories of murderers like Christa Pike waking up to a broken system that can’t even carry out its own sentence. Wake up, America. Are we a nation of law and order, or a playground for criminals?
