Disney just made it clear who they really care about—and it’s not the typical American family. Walt Disney World, once a place where middle-class families could make lifelong memories, has jacked up ticket prices yet again. Now, if you want the “premium” experience, get ready to fork over nearly $500 just for a single day. That’s more than many folks spend on groceries in a month. Make no mistake, this is a slap in the face to hard-working Americans, especially families already struggling under Biden’s economy.
Instead of making Disney more accessible for normal people, the elites running this globalist corporation keep making it more exclusive. Their so-called “cheapest” tickets, stuck at around $120 for the most basic experience, don’t fool anyone. Disney keeps the bottom-tier price the same just for PR, while making everything else almost unreachable for regular Americans. They say they’re the happiest place on Earth, but with these insane prices, they’ve made it pretty clear they only want the happy rich.
Here’s what’s really messed up: Disney will whine about equity and pretend to champion diversity but, in practice, they’re driving away the very families who built their empire. Kids in middle America, who used to dream about meeting Mickey Mouse, are finding out Disney is now just for elites and global tourists. Regular Americans are being told they don’t matter.
This is the hypocrisy of the entertainment left on full display. Corporate Disney is quick to lecture the country about morals, lecture parents about how to raise their kids, and inject politics into children’s movies. But when it comes to their bottom line, the only color they care about is green. If you’re not a millionaire or a foreign tourist, you can forget ever affording the so-called “magic” kingdom. For a company that loves to wave the flag of diversity and inclusion, they sure are fast to leave real American families out of the picture.
How many more wake-up calls do Americans need before we stop pouring our hard-earned money into companies that work overtime to push us out? Disney has picked their side, and it’s not with the average American. Maybe it’s time families start making their own magic and leave Disney—and their sky-high ticket prices—to the global elites. Isn’t it about time we teach these arrogant corporations that we’re not going to pay for their hypocrisy?
