When it comes to securing America’s borders, there’s finally a leader at the Department of Homeland Security who gets it. Secretary Markwayne Mullin has made it clear: the days of open-door asylum, where anyone could stroll in and claim a sob story, are over. If you want asylum now, you’ve got to prove you actually need it, not just say the magic words and get a free pass. It’s about time we put American safety and sovereignty ahead of globalist guilt trips and feel-good liberal fantasies.
Let’s call it what it is. For years, left-wing politicians and their buddies in the media have slammed the border wide open. They cheered while thousands poured in, overwhelming communities and turning border towns into chaos zones. The Democrats acted shocked when anyone suggested America should actually enforce its own laws. For them, “asylum” was just another word for “backdoor amnesty.” They couldn’t care less about who’s coming in—cartel members, human traffickers, criminals—all are welcome under their reckless policies.
Now, Secretary Mullin is drawing a line in the sand. No more rubber-stamping fake asylum claims. If you can’t prove you’re truly in danger, you’re going back. This is common sense, not cruelty. For years, the radical left told us anyone who showed up deserved to stay, no questions asked. Yet, when’s the last time you saw them open their gated communities or fancy condos to migrants? Classic liberal hypocrisy: safe behind their walls, but ready to lecture the rest of us about “compassion.”
Let’s not forget what’s really at stake. Our schools, hospitals, and neighborhoods have been stretched to the breaking point thanks to unchecked migration. American citizens suffer while politicians in Washington turn a blind eye and cash in on globalist praise. Leaders like Mullin are finally standing up for families, workers, and taxpayers—people who pay the price when the government refuses to do its job.
America is not a dumping ground for the world’s problems. It’s a nation worth defending. The left can whine all they want about “meanness” or “xenophobia,” but real leadership means making tough choices that protect American interests. Maybe if liberal elites had to live with the consequences of their open-border dreams, they’d finally start caring about real security. Until then, thank goodness for a DHS willing to say, “Prove it—or go home.”
